Sabina Slows It Down With 'Head In Your Hands'

'Head In Your Hands' marks Sabina’s return with a track that moves gently and doesn’t rush the moment. It’s minimalist indie pop at its most relaxed, built on space, patience and a calm sense of release.

The song unfolds slowly, led by Sabina’s soft, steady vocal. Warm folk textures sit underneath, keeping things grounded while the track builds without ever pushing too hard. It’s reflective, but there’s an ease to it, the kind that lets you breathe while listening.

"I wrote Head In Your Hands on a day when I felt disconnected from myself and unsure of the path I was on. Even though it sounds quite light, it’s actually a very dark song. The strings and hopeful energy sit on top of something much heavier. Lyrically, it’s a negotiation with life asking it to “take me out easy” if it has to knock me down at all. It’s for those moments of doubt, when you’re questioning your purpose."

Lyrically, 'Head In Your Hands' captures a pause. That quiet moment where you stop overthinking and let your thoughts settle instead of fighting them. Sabina keeps the writing open, leaving room for you to read your own feelings into it.

The accompanying visual stays in the same lane. Shot during winter on a secluded farm just outside London, it leans into muted landscapes and natural light. Nothing flashy. Just atmosphere, stillness and a sense of clarity that mirrors the track.

As a British-Canadian independent artist, Sabina has always worked with subtlety. Her debut album 'Growing Pains' explored love, self-awareness and emotional honesty, and Head In Your Hands continues that approach with confidence and restraint. Rather than announcing a big comeback, Sabina lets the song speak quietly. 'Head In Your Hands' feels like a return built on intention. Calm, clear and unforced.
