Manga Saint Hilare Takes Grime Back to the Club With ‘In The Dance’

Manga Saint Hilare In The Dance arrives with a simple idea behind it: grime should be heard in the club.

In The Dance - Manga

The Roll Deep MC opens his 2026 run with a track built for dancefloors. Produced alongside long-time collaborator MoreNight, In The Dance leans into rhythm and tempo while keeping the sharp delivery Manga has built his reputation on.

The aim is direct. Put grime back where it thrives.

“We feel grime music doesn’t have enough space in the clubs,” Manga says. “The raw energy of grime is perfect to skank and dance to. So we made ‘In The Dance’ to be played… in the dance.”

That thinking shapes the record. The track keeps its grime roots but pushes harder toward movement and DJ sets. It feels built for loud systems and crowded rooms rather than headphones.

Manga has already been moving in that direction. Over the past year, he has been sharing self-filmed DJ mixes across his socials and YouTube, jumping between grime, UK rap and club sounds. Those sets have pulled in a steady audience and helped position him closer to the dancefloor again.

The single also continues his long working relationship with producer MoreNight. The pair have collaborated across several releases, and the chemistry shows in how tightly the beat and vocal move together.

Away from his own releases, Manga remains one of the busiest figures in the grime scene. Alongside Sian Anderson, he hosts a BBC Radio 1Xtra show that regularly spotlights emerging UK talent. His work with Red Bull’s GMT platform has also given newer MCs space through the Mic Flex series, featuring artists including Mic Of Course, Deema, Shakes The Kid and Namesbliss.

While those projects keep him active across the wider culture, music has never slowed down. Recent releases, including Everything Is Under Control and the 2025 project OUTERNATIONAL, kept his solo catalogue moving while he toured across the UK. At the same time, Roll Deep have hinted at fresh material through appearances with DJs including DJ AG and DJ Mak Ten.

Now In The Dance opens the next run of releases. The single starts a rollout of new music expected across 2026, leading into the summer. If Manga gets his way, you will hear it where it was designed to land. In the club.
