Making a powerful return to solo releases, during a poignant moment in the UK, M Huncho delves into the themes closest to his heart on 'Important'.
Off the back of '36 Hours', a collaborative mixtape with Potter Payper, M Huncho goes solo for a personal, yet hugely listenable new track. Addressing family, patience, faith, and the desire to move beyond the dark times of his past, Huncho slides over the instrumental on 'Important', that comes courtesy of Cage, N1 & Santz.
The visual accompaniments for this release have really stood out from the crowd. Starting with the song cover, showing the iconic moment LOSC Lille winger Edon Zhegrova donned M Huncho's mask when celebrating a goal.
In the music video, we see Huncho with his young daughter, who takes after her father with her face staying out the view of the cameras. Very visible however, is M Huncho's new chain. A piece from highly sought-after London company 'A Jewellers', it may just be the most eye-catching piece in the whole UK scene right now. It's extravagant, yet personal touches, are quintessentially M Huncho, and are a fitting contribution to what is overall, an exquisitely shot video.
An anonymous North West London icon, Huncho is proof that keeping your head down and working hard reaps rewards. Six projects deep and billions of streams to his name, he's now at the start of a new era of music and life, having recently become a dad, and feels more motivated than ever to create and provide for those closest to him.
The ethos behind anonymity is more profound than meets the eye for M Huncho. He intends to remove prejudice and hopes that anyone, despite their origins or beliefs, can connect with his music. With 'Important' being the first glimpse at his new chapter, we at Oculate are incredibly excited to see what he comes up with next.
