London-based artist Miraa May has surprised fans with her boldest project yet: a 6-track EP titled “Kind Regards.” Leading the charge is “Ladies Man,” a hard-hitting anthem that unapologetically addresses double standards in gender and sexuality.
Produced by Everett Moon & Lasik, “Ladies Man” confronts societal hypocrisies head-on, challenging listeners to reconsider how women and men are judged by different standards. Miraa’s unfiltered lyricism and the track’s electrifying energy are brought to life in a stunning video directed by Ray Fiasco, who also created visuals for her previous single “Girlfriend.”
The EP is brimming with standout tracks like the infectious “Shot Like This,” sultry “Bed,” and bouncy “Supply,” showcasing Miraa’s signature blend of R&B, Afrobeat, and soul. As her first independent project, “Kind Regards” is more than just a collection of songs - it’s a declaration of empowerment, growth, and independence.
Miraa’s career hit a milestone with her debut album, “Tales Of A Miracle,” earning three MOBO nominations and widespread acclaim. With empowering themes and a female-led production team, the album became a beacon of inspiration for women in the music industry. Beyond her solo work, Miraa has co-written hits for artists like Jorja Smith, Burna Boy, and Little Simz, showcasing her versatility and depth as a songwriter.
“Kind Regards” marks a triumphant return after Miraa’s well-deserved break to embrace motherhood and write for other artists. Tracks like “No Bad Energy” and “Miskeena” offered glimpses of her growth, weaving her North African heritage with her London-bred sound. This EP, however, is a full-circle moment - a bold declaration of who Miraa is and where she’s headed.
With plans for an even bigger 2025, Miraa May is once again proving she’s not just a voice in the UK scene but a movement. Her music continues to challenge norms, inspire women, and bridge cultures, all while celebrating her fearless individuality. As “Kind Regards” showcases, Miraa is unapologetically here to stay.
