Nigerian-born, Dublin-based rising star Archy Moor is back with an enthralling new single titled "Don't Send For Your Dogs, via Cloud X.
Following his critically acclaimed debut EP "Bonnie Hill," Archy Moor showcases his mesmerizing talent once again, delivering a thought-provoking track that explores themes of individualism. Produced during a three-day session alongside collaborator Earl Saga - known for his work with Loyle Carner, Arlo Parks, and JGrrey - during London Fashion Week '23, "Don't Send For Your Dogs" features Archy's distinct storytelling delivered with his trademark low and seemingly ambivalent cadence.
The Grade-A production, mastered by Joker - notable for his work with Skepta, Skrillex, and Jammer -, enhances the sonic experience. The single is accompanied by a sleek set of self-shot and edited visuals recorded in Paris, with colour grading by Joseph Coliair and typography by George Boyce, adding to the overall artistic vision of the release. Archy Moor's latest single solidifies his position as a significant figure in the UK hip-hop scene. Talking on the release Archy explains;
"We revisited vinyls from our trip to Japan and South Korea in 2022, which influenced a lot of the sounds on this record. This song is about recharging with oneself and not being tied down to a persona based on friends. It expresses individuality and emphasizes the importance of looking out for oneself because, at the end of the day, you're the only one you can rely on."
"Send for your dogs, but would they ever send for me?" encapsulates the essence of the song, highlighting how people you may do favors for might not reciprocate if you find yourself in a similar situation. Archy aims for the song to inspire listeners to reevaluate the intentions of those in their lives, whether they are genuine or transactional.
With his multifaceted abilities, he is poised to make a significant impact in the realms of music, fashion, and beyond. As 2023 unfolds, it promises to be another landmark year for this talented young artist.
