GRAMMY-nominated vibe-provider Juls has once again used his magic touch to curate a summer soundtrack for his listeners. This time calling up rising-star JayO, ‘Best Interest’ is sparkling with sun, good times and romantic energy.
Opening the track is a soundbite of people welcoming Juls to Brazil, highlighting the significant role travel plays in his creative process. The feeling curated thereafter is that of a party day on the beach, with the smooth instrumental and words of JayO providing a feeling of beaming sunlight on the listeners. In the lyrics, JayO serenades his beloved with a tone that speaks distinctly to his upbringing in the melting-pot capital. The combination of JayO’s winning vocals and Juls signature percussive sway is electric.
‘Best Interest’ follows on from April’s ‘Hold You Down’ featuring Odeal. As Juls turns up the heat, it seems the producer is intent on taking over with his penchant for the sounds of summer. After recently featuring on the Project 6 Festival line-up, we’re due to see a lot more of Juls in the coming months. An upcoming slot on the DLT Malta line-up will excite any attendee of the event.
But, perhaps most excitingly of all, Juls has just announced a headline show at London’s Outernet on October 23rd. With the success of ‘Best Interest’, and much more on the horizon, it’s shaping up to be a remarkable year for Juls.
