With her first release of the year, London-rapper Cristale delivers the ruminative ‘Will You Ever?’, providing impactful wordplay over a mysterious instrumental.
‘Will You Ever?’ is perhaps Cristale’s most experimental offering thus far. An artist who is unafraid to push boundaries, it’s refreshing to see Cristale’s fearless approach to her music. Over the melancholic musical accompaniment, Cristale trades her high-octane flow for a more conversational style. Then on the chorus, as if to prove there is nothing she cannot do, Cristale highlights her range with an impressive singing voice.
The single is set to feature in a new JD SPORTS campaign in collaboration with Nike. Cristale herself will feature in the social media campaign and on billboards, continuing her multi-media appeal. From impressive acting appearances on Netflix shows, to her advertising appeal, Cristale is in prime position to become a multi-discipline star of tomorrow.
However, in all her endeavours she has lost none of the ability in her first language, music. On that front she seems to be only just starting on a very steep trajectory. ‘Will You Ever?’ stands out as an indicator of the varying styles Cristale can lend her hand to, and it undoubtedly fills listeners with excitement about what is to come.
