Following her late 2023 track "Can't Shut Us Down" featuring PawPaw Rod, Kitty Ca$h is making a significant transition from DJ to full-fledged producer. Exploring the theme of unrequited love, "Time Machine" captures the emotional tug of war between the need to let go and the reluctance to do so. Talking on the single, Kitty Ca$h says;
“Time Machine" is a song about unrequited love…that tug of war of needing to let go but not wanting to. This conversation runs through my upcoming EP, Handle With Care, and James captured it so effortlessly. It’s also my sonic love letter to LA, with two of my favorite LA musicians I can now call my family”
