Tiana Major9 Flips Mobb Deep Classic Into Her Powerful Return ‘shook one’

Tiana Major9 makes a powerful return with ‘shook one’, a sharp, soulful rework of Mobb Deep’s ‘Shook Ones Pt II’. It’s bold, smoky, and rooted in jazz, pushing their voice into new territory while keeping that unmistakable edge.

Where the original thrived on raw Queens grit, Tiana’s version reframes it through emotional accountability and feminine power. Brassy flourishes, moody keys, and hip-hop undertones set the stage as Tiana calls out a partner too afraid to be honest as she cuts with calm fury, showing charm and excuses won’t pass.

The video, shot in black and white on the streets of New York, nods back to the 90s while grounding Tiana firmly in the present. Directed by Benji Allen, it shows them moving through the city, subway rides, graffiti walls, waterfront walks, stripped down and in control. Speaking on the track, Tiana says:

"Paying homage to the iconic duo from Queens, Mobb Deep, ‘shook one’ is a flip on their classic “Shook Ones Pt ll” with love as the focus. i’m calling out lover who ain’t holding up their end of the deal."

‘shook one’ follows Tiana’s reflective single ‘money’, a stripped-back release that traced their relationship with financial growth and independence.

After a two-year hiatus, Tiana Major9 has returned independent, clear, and confident. ‘shook one’ feels like the reset button pressed with intent, music on their own terms, sharper than ever.
