RISING R&B STAR TAMERA EXPLORES HER EMOTIONS AND EXPERIENCES THROUGHOUT HER LATEST EP "L.I.T."

Tamera
Rising R&B star Tamera latest EP, 'L.I.T.' (Lost In Translation), invites listeners on a sonic voyage through her mind, heart, and soul.

The six-track project, which includes recent singles "Poison" and "Diversion," stands as a testament to Tamera's lyrical prowess and the rich tapestry of UK R&B, blending sounds from her heritage and musical upbringing. Talking about the project Tamera says;

"L.I.T meaning "lost in translation" is an accurate description of the way my slightly chaotic and intense emotions have me feeling a lot of the time. Writing this project pushed me to practice allowing myself to open up and confront some of the tough & raw feelings that have been pent up over years. I’ve written about the light, the darkness, the love, the hate, the confidence & the shame that comes with being an over-sensitive, nonchalant, overthinking “ it’s not that deep '' emotionally unavailable lover girl. Whew."

The lead single from the EP, "40 Days," features Nigerian artist Ckay and comes to life through an enthralling video directed by Remi Laudat. Shot in the predominantly West African community in Paris, the video tells a romantic story of two lovers navigating themes of tension and protection. Remi Laudat explains;

“we wanted to create a video that touched on themes of tension and protection not just for yourself but your loved ones. We paired a strong performance with a small narrative that gave a chance for Tamera and Ckay to play characters that are ride or die for each other. Someone you can turn to when you need help without fear of judgement.”

In 2023, Tamera solidified her presence in the music scene, marked by a sensational COLORS Berlin debut, a performance at All Points East for Stormzy's "THIS IS WHAT I MEAN" day, and notable collaborations. With the outstanding "L.I.T." EP joining the list of her 2023 achievements, Tamera is a name to keep a close eye on.
