salute Turns Club-Night Energy Into New Mixtape infinite passion

salute

Manchester-based DJ and producer salute has announced their forthcoming mixtape infinite passion, sharing lead single ‘check check’ alongside a new remix from Special Request.

Set to arrive later this year via Atlantic Records, the project marks salute's first long-form release since their acclaimed 2024 debut album TRUE MAGIC. Rather than acting as a direct follow-up, infinite passion takes inspiration from the club-night series of the same name that has rapidly grown into one of the most talked-about concepts in underground dance music.

What began as a run of sold-out events across London, Manchester, New York and San Francisco has evolved into a wider creative project centred around dancefloor connection and discovery. Built around hidden DJ booths and a strict no-phones policy, the nights have featured appearances from artists including HAAi, AceMo, Nikki Nair, Call Super, Kyle Hall, Bambounou, Effy and ATRIP.

That same ethos now forms the foundation of the forthcoming mixtape.

Leading the announcement is ‘check check’, a track that has already become familiar to fans who have caught salute's recent DJ sets. Described by the producer as a stripped-back club tool, the single marks a shift away from some of the denser and more harmony-led material found across previous releases. Speaking on the track, salute explained:

“‘check check’ is a track I've been playing out since last summer - it was an attempt at making a stripped back club tool that anyone would be able to play, a departure from my more dense, harmony heavy material. I'm stoked to be releasing it as part of a series of club tunes I'll be dropping for the rest of the year.”

The mixtape itself acts as an extension of the infinite passion events, drawing inspiration from the DJs, producers, friends and communities that have formed around the nights. Shaped by music that has been tested and refined in real club environments, the project aims to capture the energy and atmosphere that have helped make the series such a success.

Special Request's remix of ‘check check’ marks the first in what is expected to be a wider run of collaborations and reinterpretations linked to the project.

Since releasing TRUE MAGIC, salute has continued to build momentum through sold-out headline tours, major festival appearances and support from some of electronic music's most respected names, including Four Tet, Floating Points, Fred again.. and Annie Mac.

With appearances at Hï Ibiza, DC10, We Out Here and Lost Village still to come this summer, infinite passion arrives at a time when salute's profile continues to grow both inside and outside club culture.

If ‘check check’ is the first glimpse of what's to come, infinite passion looks set to bring the spirit of salute's club nights into a project designed to live far beyond the dancefloor.
