Pozer Revisits His Breakout Energy With ‘Dulux Trade’

Following debut mixtape Crossroads, Pozer returns with ‘Dulux Trade’, pairing Jersey drill production with an unexpected saxophone-led beat.
Pozer’s new single ‘Dulux Trade’ sees the South London rapper return to the Jersey drill energy that helped drive his early breakthrough, following the release of debut mixtape Crossroads earlier this year.
Teased online since July, ‘Dulux Trade’ pairs Jersey rhythms with blaring saxophones, bringing Pozer back towards the pace associated with early tracks including ‘Malicious Intentions’. It follows Crossroads, the 12-track project that gave a wider picture of his sound beyond the singles that first introduced him.
The Jersey production feels naturally suited to Pozer, but it is the saxophone running through ‘Dulux Trade’ that gives the record its own character. Even when the lyrics carry aggression, his delivery remains noticeably restrained, with his distinctive voice cutting through the movement of the beat rather than fighting against it.
‘Kitchen Stove’ and ‘Malicious Intentions’ helped establish Pozer through more immediate, high-tempo records, while Crossroads allowed him to move between that energy and quieter, more reflective moments across a full project.
The mixtape followed a rapid rise for the rapper, who won Best Drill Act at the 2025 MOBO Awards before appearing at festivals including Reading & Leeds and Latitude.
On ‘Dulux Trade’, the saxophone brings something less familiar to the Jersey drill production underneath him, while Pozer keeps the delivery controlled even as the track moves at pace.
