POTTER PAYPER HAS MADE HIS 2023 DEBUT WITH THE RELEASE OF 'BLAME BREXIT'

British rapper Potter Payper has made his 2023 debut with the release of his striking new single and video ‘Blame Brexit’.

Finding himself back in his prime, ‘Blame Brexit’ showcases Potter’s lyrical dexterity and stark accounts of street politics. Charged with evocative production, this single is an open and honest reflection of the environment Potter spent his time within growing up. “I grew up on 110s and Avirex’s” elicits a warm sense of nostalgia, whilst “..I used to get my kicks from Barking Market, but every single time we made a pound we used to half it” articulates his and the communities stories in a powerful and breathtaking approach. There’s no wonder why Potter is referred to as one of the most critical voices of this generation with the ability to captivate listeners.

Releasing with accompanying Meeks and Frost-directed visuals, Potter’s open and honest storytelling is taken to the next level. Delivering a sleek performance packed full of gritty and vivid scenes, we are treated to a breathtaking cinematic experience once again raising the standards.

Arriving in the wake of what can only be described as a monumental twelve months for Potter seeing him release ‘Thanks for Waiting’, getting his first top 40 single with ‘Gangsteritus’ - thanks to Top Boy -, and playing breathtaking festival sets at the likes of Reading and Leeds and the iconic Glastonbury festival. Adding to this list of achievements, Potter launched the “Unlocked with...Potter Payper” residency in collaboration with BBC Sounds, interviewing an array of guests including Stormzy, Snoochie Shy and 0207 Def Jam Presidents, Alex and Alec Boateng. This East London rapper is refusing to get out of the spotlight.

f this is the start of new music for Potter Payper in 2023 then we are locked in for this rollercoaster of a journey we are about to endure.
