Nippa Heads Home On ‘Kacey’ As ‘Homegrown’ Takes Shape

Nippa announces his nine-track Homegrown EP with Jordan Ward collaboration ‘Kacey’, a return-home story where career success counts for little with someone who knew him before it.

Nippa’s Homegrown EP arrives on 25 September, and latest single ‘Kacey’ finds the Tottenham R&B artist returning to somebody who knew him long before music changed his circumstances.

Featuring St. Louis artist Jordan Ward, the track centres on a childhood relationship Nippa is attempting to revisit after coming home. He returns with recognition, music and the signs of a career moving forward. None seem to matter as much as he expects.

“‘Kacey’ is inspired by a childhood love that knows me from before music,” Nippa explains. “Now that I'm home, I'm trying to court her with my superficial assets — clout, music — but it’s not going as planned.”

That admission gives ‘Kacey’ its weight. Nippa comes back with everything that might prove his life has changed, only to face someone whose opinion of him was formed before any of it existed.

Jordan Ward joins him over production from Gray Toomey, Mike Baretz and KzDidIt, while the Edem Wornoo-directed video places London and Los Angeles side by side. Nippa occupies the life he has built in LA; Kacey remains back home. That distance runs through Homegrown too.

Its Blxst-assisted title track approaches home through community and place, connecting Los Angeles with Nippa’s Tottenham roots. The song later soundtracked Tottenham Hotspur’s 2026/27 Home and Away kit campaign, tying the record directly to the part of North London that shaped him.

‘Kacey’ makes the return less comfortable.

Here, home remembers who Nippa was before the career. The status that carries weight elsewhere has little effect once he gets back, and that tension gives the project’s early material a sharper meaning.

One song celebrates the place and people that shaped him. The other asks what happens when he returns to them after everything around him has changed.

‘Kacey’ featuring Jordan Ward is out now. Nippa’s nine-track Homegrown EP follows on 25 September.
