BIRMINGHAM-BASED PRODUCER AND RAPPER NINETEEN97 HAS RELEASED HIS LATEST SINGLE 'WEATHERMAN'

Coming fresh out of Birmingham, the Coventry-born composer, producer, and rapper nineteen97 has released his latest single, 'WEATHERMAN' featuring Ledbyher, blending elements of his eternal love for garage, grim and hip-hop with elements of Jersey drill.

Produced by frequent collaborator Off Key, we see nineteen97 pay homage to the 2000s - a decade crucial to his evolving sonic - alongside homage to Dipset linchpin Jim Jones. Switching up the dynamic with Lebbyher's unorthodox verse aligns with the VHS-heavy video - directed by Todd Hardman.

Getting his first taste in the industry designing visuals for the likes of Jaykae, M1llionz, Depz, and his favourite artist at the time, Skepta. However, the pandemic threw him a curveball, deciding to pause the visual arts and try his hand at something new, birthing nineteen97. Marking his arrival with 'CHROME' EP with features from the likes of Manga Saint Hilare, Jesse James Solomon, Blue Room Mafia, and more, we were treated to a true genre-bending debut.

Since then he has hand-picked collaborations with underground pioneer kwes e, Brazil's leading Grime act SD9, Birmingham's rising star SIPHO and Newham General's very own Footsie to name a few. nineteen97 is seeking new heights for the year ahead with more singles, projects, videos, collaborations and CHROME II on the horizon.
