Nia Archives, the unstoppable new-gen junglist, makes waves with the announcement of her debut album, "Silence Is Loud," slated for release on Friday, April 12th.
Following the recent release of "Crowded Roomz" and ahead of the album, she drops the title track, a deeply sentimental single that explores themes of unconditional love. While Nia Archives continues to showcase her exquisite jungle sound, the forthcoming album signals a departure into new, uncharted territories. "Silence Is Loud" represents a bolder scope than her previous works, emphasising a more song-focused approach. Collaborating with Ethan P. Flynn, recognised for his work with FKA twigs and David Byrne, Nia Archives aims to infuse interesting sounds into the jungle genre.
The title track, born from a moment of deep sentimentality, is a celebration of unconditional love for her brother. It intertwines sonic elements of soaring indie and gloomy Brit-pop, showcasing Nia's versatility as an artist. The album's title, "Silence Is Loud," hints at major themes explored in this debut, including loneliness, the powerful potential of silence, relationships, family dynamics, and the navigation of her 20s.
Fresh off an 8-date Australia and New Zealand Tour, Nia Archives has been making significant strides in her career. Her summer bangers, "Off Wiv Ya Headz" and "Bad Gyalz," coupled with appearances in a JD Sports Christmas advert, the December cover of DJ Mag, and a sold-out "UP YA ARCHIVES" takeover at Warehouse Project, position her for world domination.
As she breaks boundaries in the jungle genre, Nia Archives sets the stage for her debut album to be a defining moment in her already illustrious career.
