Nevmore returns with his latest EP, "Whimsical Charm," featuring a blend of jungle pop, UK Garage, and boom-bap beats. Following his hit single “Swim Swim,” this EP brings a chilled summer vibe, perfect for kicking back.
Nevmore is back, and he’s bringing the heat with his new EP, "Whimsical Charm." Fresh off the success of his single “Swim Swim,” Nevmore's latest project is all about those summer vibes. This EP marks a distinct shift in his sound, blending the laid-back feels of jungle pop and UK Garage with his signature boom-bap beats.
When asked about the inspiration behind "Whimsical Charm," Nevmore explained,
“I wanted to take a different approach. Rapping always brings me joy, and charming everyone with my words is something I love. This time, I aimed for a more chilled vibe—something you can relax to. While exploring trap, garage, and jungle, I stayed true to my love for boom bap beats, and having Denny LAflare on this project is amazing.”
The EP features four tracks: the previously released “Fassion Weak” and “Swim Swim,” along with two new bangers, “One Two Steppa” and “Morning Stroll.” Production credits go to three standout producers: Backseat DJ (Nevmore’s frequent collaborator Leo), Thugs Bunny, and Denny LAflare, known for his work with Griselda artists like Westside Gunn. Nevmore elaborates on the production choices,
“I wanted to jazz up my production, incorporating all the musical styles I enjoy—garage, jungle, and hip hop. Denny LAflare has produced some of my favorite Westside Gunn tracks, and having him on this EP is a dream. These genres resonate with me the most, though I haven’t dabbled in RnB yet.”
Adding to the excitement, the EP includes music videos for “Fassion Weak” and “Swim Swim,” creatively directed by Azim “Renecide” Miah. Renecide, who previously directed Nevmore’s “Lena The Plug” video, brings a unique visual flair that complements Nevmore’s music perfectly.
“I loved what Renecide and Dotmedia did for the ‘Lena’ video. It was an easy decision to have them direct these new videos. It’s great to showcase our creative synergy,” Nevmore shared.
