MIZUNO UNITE ART, SPORT AND SUSTAINABILITY WITH THE KINSTUGI PACK

Mizuno continues to break down the norms with their Kinstugi pack as they prove heritage and innovation can coexist seamlessly.

The Kintsugi Pack by Mizuno delves into the rich tradition of Kintsugi, an ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer infused with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. What started as a method of mending has evolved into a philosophy centred around embracing imperfection. This philosophy is deeply intertwined with Wabi-Sabi, a worldview that cherishes the beauty found in imperfection. Kintsugi celebrates the history of an object, highlighting its flaws instead of concealing them. It embodies the belief that things deserve a second chance, offering a profound lesson in learning and improvement.

The Wave Rider 10 and the Contender are the two sneakers chosen for the Kintsugi Pack.

These shoes, dressed in soft neutral colours, exhibit subtle material contrasts, alternating between premium suede and mesh. The iconic Runbird logo, a symbol of Kintsugi art, is outlined with a thin yellow line, reminiscent of the gold junctures inherent to the ancient Japanese technique. The tongue of each shoe proudly displays a Kintsugi artwork, reinforcing the pack's deep source of inspiration. Both the Wave Rider 10 and the Contender feature mismatched insoles in white and grey hues.

The Mizuno Kintsugi Pack not only celebrates a rich tradition but also represents the convergence of art, sport, and sustainability serving as a testament to the brand's commitment to creating unique and meaningful experiences for athletes and enthusiasts worldwide.

Mizuno continues to prove that heritage and innovation can coexist seamlessly in the world of footwear.
