In celebration of the acclaim garnered by his Mercury Prize-nominated album "hugo," esteemed wordsmith Loyle Carner presents a special treat for fans: a live performance recorded at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.

Scheduled for release on May 24th, this sold-out show captures the essence of Carner's music and the evolution it underwent during the "hugo" tour.


Throughout his "hugo" tour, Carner noticed a transformation in his music with each performance. Seeking to document this dynamic evolution, he recorded the Royal Albert Hall show, providing listeners with a glimpse into the fluidity of his creations. Joined by special guests including Athian Akec, Jordan Rakei, and JNR Williams, along with an electrifying live band, Carner delivered an immersive experience for all in attendance.


"Hugo" has been hailed as a masterpiece by critics, earning a full 5-star rating from the Observer and charting at number 3 in the UK Album Chart. With its urgent delivery and widescreen production, the album confronts both personal and political themes, offering a cinematic experience that resonates deeply with listeners. Carner's journey as a mixed-race Black man, artist, father, and son is poignantly portrayed throughout the album.

In 2023 alone, he graced massive festival stages and venues across the UK and beyond, including a headline slot at Glastonbury's West Holts stage, and now, he's set to headline All Points East in 2024, marking his biggest London live date yet.
