Rising UK singer Kwaku Asante has kicked off the year with a brand new single, ‘Until The Morning’.
Written by the artist himself and produced by Sam Posener, who has previously worked with the likes of Cat Burns and Elli Ingram, the funk-filled production blends effortlessly with Kwaku’s soulful vocals. Featuring Kandie J, the music video captures intimate moments between lovers, relishing every uninterrupted moment spent together.
Proving his talent can stand independently without the need for melodrama, Kwaku’s new track is a feel-good ode to love that accentuates the joy felt throughout the infectious single. With ‘Until The Morning,’ the singer showcases his musical range and ability to create upbeat, captivating music.
Kwaku’s love for music ignited in his younger years, growing up in a house filled with Gospel and Jazz. His grandfather, A.K Badu, was a key figure in his musical journey, working as an executive producer in Ghana and founding the first record company there in 1954, alongside musical legends Quincy Jones and Fela Kuti. Encouraging Kwaku to play the piano and sing in the church choir from a young age, this musical lineage has become a driving force for him to reach the highest of heights in his career.
Kwaku had an impressive year in 2020, touring with Samm Henshaw and Pip Millet, performing in some of the most iconic venues across the country. His Wanderlust EP gained critical acclaim, leading to a sold-out headline show at Village Underground. Jamz Supernova, Soulection, Afropunk, Clash, Notion and Guap all showed support for the rising star, cementing his place as one of the most exciting and loved voices in the UK music scene.
Continuing his upward trajectory, Kwaku plans to release more feel-good music and provide the perfect soundtrack to the upcoming summer months. With his impressive musical talent and passion for his craft, Kwaku Asante is definitely one to watch.
