Julia Wolf & Badger's ‘In My Room (Remix)’ Is Garage Pop Done Right

Julia Wolf’s ‘In My Room’ was built to brood, 20 million streams’ worth of quiet, late-night replay value. But this new remix from UK electronic producer Badger flips the emotional undercurrent on its head.

The track trades introspection for movement, threading Wolf’s vocal through jittery garage rhythms and crisp, skippy percussion. It’s a confident flip. Badger doesn’t force a tempo change for the sake of it. Instead, he preserves the lyrical bite while lifting the energy, turning the hook into something more communal. On the dancefloor, this hits different; it’s moody, but you can move to it.

The timing works. Julia and Badger just shared a Coachella stage for a surprise joint set, and this remix follows fast. The live debut shows this wasn’t just a file-swap collab. It’s a shared vision, one that crosses borders and genres without sounding forced.

Julia’s own momentum hasn’t slowed. Her latest single ‘Jennifer’s Body’ just dropped, and her sophomore album Pressure lands on 23rd May. This new project leans heavier and sharper, darker in tone, with flashes of pop sensibility still cutting through. Between support slots with Artemas and PVRIS, a headline show at Oslo Hackney, and a run of festival dates including 2000Trees, she’s in demand.

Badger, on the other hand, continues to rise as a name to watch in UK club music. His sound walks the line between bass nostalgia and future-facing production. This remix is tight, stylish, and already earning crowd reactions.

With ‘In My Room (Remix)’, both artists hit a sweet spot. For Wolf, it’s another look at one of her biggest tracks. For Badger, it’s proof he can pull pop into his space without losing what makes either side work.
