Josh Baker Links With rhys from the sticks On Long-Awaited ID ‘Souvenir’

After more than six months of teasing the track across his sets, Josh Baker officially releases ‘Souvenir’ with rhys from the sticks, pulling Madchester, punk and post-punk influences into his house sound.

Josh Baker has linked with rhys from the sticks for ‘Souvenir’, finally releasing an ID that has been building momentum across his sets for more than six months.

Out now via Baker’s Dozen / Three Six Zero, the collaboration pushes beyond Baker’s usual house framework, pulling from Madchester, punk and post-punk while keeping the record firmly built for the club.

rhys from the sticks — AKA Rhys Kirkby-Cox, formerly one half of Everyone You Know — brings a raw, distinctly British vocal that gives ‘Souvenir’ a different character to a conventional house cut, sitting against Baker’s driving production rather than simply floating over it.

Baker has spent the summer road-testing the collaboration, opening his Reading & Leeds and Creamfields sets with the track.

The release also lands alongside a packed run of headline dates for Baker. His YOU&ME season at Amnesia has reached its closing stretch, while Manchester follows with two sold-out Warehouse Project dates at Depot Mayfield on 2 and 3 October.

After months of doing the damage in Baker’s sets, ‘Souvenir’ finally belongs outside the booth too.
