IN THE CROWD: LAICOSITNA "DEAL WITH IT" EP PARTY

Laicositna
Last Thursday night was one for celebration, with the launch party for Laicositna’s new EP, titled ‘Deal With It’

To commemorate the release of this highly anticipated project, fans and friends pulled up to Qube in Canary Wharf to take in the talents of a rising star. The artist in question here is something of an enigma. Laicositna, a name that becomes clearer when reversed, has been turning heads at an impressive rate with his emotion-packed approach to UK rap.

The night began with DJs and cocktails, as those in attendance waited for the man of the hour to arrive. The two hosts for the evening swelled the excitement of the on-lookers, before introducing Laicositna to the performance area. We were then treated to a listen through ‘Deal With It’, the brand new project, now out on all platforms.

The emotion and pain exhibited in Laicositna’s songs is undeniable. It was clear how these songs were resonating with the audience. Even tracks that had only been known in snippets experienced sull sing-along treatment, indicating Laico’s fans to be properly involved.

One track that stood out was ‘Option’, with a music video having just been released prior to the event. Laico was getting wheel-ups without even saying a word into the mic, the clearest of signs that the people were feeling it. The previously released ‘Take Me Serious’ and ‘Respectfully’ were met with a huge response, definitely the fan favourites so far.

Laicositna was highly impressive, showcasing a talent in song-writing and sonic selection. He has certainly found his sound, and his core fanbase are dedicated listeners. All of the possible signs for success are there for Antisocial backwards. 2024 could very well be his year to ascend right to the top of the scene.
