Scottish DJ and producer Hannah Laing is back with a vengeance. Dropping her highly anticipated EP 'Into The Doof', showcasing a darker, more intense sound that’s set to dominate dancefloors. This new project, released on Thursday, July 25th, marks a pivotal moment in Laing's career, delivering six tracks of pure, adrenaline-pumping energy.
The EP kicks off with the explosive "Tell Me" featuring Fairground, a track that’s already proving to be a festival favourite. Its siren-like vocal samples and relentless beats set the tone for what’s to come, blending hard house, trance, and techno into a hypnotic masterpiece. Following this is "Ibizacore" featuring Muki, a track that transports listeners straight to the White Isle with its euphoric vocals and pounding bassline.
Continuing with "Stay," a dynamic collaboration with emerging vocalist Jem Cooke. The track combines soulful vocals with gritty basslines, creating an electrifying experience. "Poppin’" brings an ecstatic bounce to the project, while the closing track is Hannah’s exclusive ‘Doof Mix’ of “Bouncing Ball,” reimagined from a peak-time anthem into a late-night chugger. Reflecting on the EP, Laing shares,
“I got together with some of my favourite writers and producers at a camp in Glasgow last year, and we had such an incredible 3 days of making music and really pushing my sound. This EP really represents me, my DJ sets, and where I’m at as an artist right now, so I hope you like it.”
'Into The Doof' follows Hannah’s immersive Triple F EP released in March, which featured crowd-pleasers like “FWTDJ (All Night Long)” and the genre-bending collaboration with Peaches on “Fuk The Pain Away.”
With her own doof label now up and running, Laing’s musical journey continues to evolve. From her beginnings in Scotland to becoming a mainstay at major dance events, Hannah Laing’s impact on the UK and European dance scenes is undeniable. Her latest release, 'Into The Doof', is a testament to her boundless energy and innovative spirit, setting the stage for even greater achievements to come.
