Fred again.. kicks off 2025 with Victory Lap, a heavy-hitting collab with Skepta and PlaqueBoyMax. It’s frantic, hooky and built to destroy dance floors. Teased on Twitch and premiered at a Brooklyn rave streamed live from the Paramount Theatre, the track’s finally out.

It samples Doechii’s verse from Swamp Bitches and throws it into a warped blender of early grime and leftfield club sounds. It’s rugged. Dirty. Fun. Skepta sounds right at home, his verse lands like it’s 2005 again, but the production’s got a weird, future-glitch to it that makes the whole thing feel uncomfortably current.
This is Fred again.. in full chaos mode, leaning into his experimental tendencies while still keeping it rave-ready. PlaqueBoyMax adds the energy to match. Best known for chaotic, online-first rap that lives somewhere between YouTube skits and SoundCloud rage beats, his presence pulls the track left in all the right ways.
The result is messy, glitchy, and exciting. A proper crossover that doesn’t dilute any of their voices. It pulls from early Skepta, Fred’s Twitch-era spontaneity, and Max’s shitpost surrealism without feeling stitched together.
