FRANKIE JOBLING RELEASES SOULFUL SINGLE 'CHANGES' EMBRACING PERSONAL GROWTH AND EMPOWERMENT

Frankie Jobling

Following her recent support slot for The Pharcyde in Newcastle, the announcement of her set at Kendal Calling line-up, and two sold-out headline shows, Newcastle-based neo-soul artist Frankie Jobling has released her second single of the year, titled 'Changes' as she continues to captivate listeners with her stunningly crafted tracks.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Cleo Sol and Solange, she effortlessly merges R&B and neo-soul together as she continues to build her signature sound. Kickstarting with a subby bass element, the production's atmosphere builds as Frankie's soft lyrics are infused with a dreamy reverb, creating a silky and glimmering pool of sound that pays homage to her R&B roots. Talking on the track Frankie states;

"As I have grown up, I have realized what it means to me to be a woman, encompassing the good and bad parts, the empowering moments, and the times when I feel the weight of emotions. The chorus yearns for slow sunlit days and a space to let go of pain. The warm and lighthearted music juxtaposes the lyrics, reflecting the light and dark, the soft and tender, the girl and the woman.

The song celebrates the positive aspects that come with change while acknowledging the sadness, making it a nostalgic mix that resonates with anyone. The lyrics would hold different meanings for you each time you revisit the song, regardless of your age."

With her powerful presence in the R&B scene and her role as a frontrunner for the rising neo-soul community in the North East, Frankie Jobling solidifies herself as a serious one to watch.
