Franc Moody have dropped their soulful cut mixing house, funk, and Franc Moody’s indefatigable creative spirit brand new track ‘Move Me’ via their brand new label House of FM.
The unique London band set out on an incredible run of global headline shows this month, including a landmark homecoming date at Eventim Apollo on March 24th. This follows their instantly-sold-out Koko show in support of their acclaimed second album 'Into The Ether', continuing the word-of-mouth journey for the best party in town.
"This is the first release on our new label House Of FM. It feels like a bit of a landmark moment for us in terms of our continued journey as independent musicians. That freedom, spirit and sense of community defines our project and we feel ‘Move Me’ encapsulates this moment perfectly. It’s a tune built for the dance floor, with a Godzilla-sized bass riff at its core. Enjoy!"
With Influences including a selection of dance music’s finest, from Parliament to Jamiroquai and from Daft Punk to LCD Soundsystem, the duo's influences go far and wide. Ned and Jon spent some long years trying to make it as jobbing musicians, playing every gig they could from chintzy weddings to house bands in dive bars - honing their DIY recording craft and paying the rent by throwing their now mythical dance parties.
This year Franc Moody launched their own ‘House of FM’ label for an initial series of singles, with long-time collaborators Juicebox, including a series of Digital Pressings with Serenade, and extensive UK/EU and North America touring.
