DORA JAR ANNOUNCES HER DEBUT ALBUM 'NO WAY TO RELAX WHEN YOU ARE ON FIRE'

Rising star Dora Jar is set to release her highly anticipated debut album 'No Way To Relax When You Are On Fire' on September 13th via Island Records. Alongside the album announcement, she has unveiled a trailer featuring a snippet of the upcoming single ‘Ragdoll’ and details of her North American headline tour, ‘Behind The Curtain,’ starting September 22nd.

Dora Jar, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter known for her eclectic and whimsical sound, has announced her much-anticipated debut album 'No Way To Relax When You Are On Fire'. Set for release on September 13th via Island Records, this album promises to dive deep into existential themes with a dark pop fantasia twist, showcasing Dora's unique ability to transcend conventional music genres.

In a trailer accompanying the album announcement, fans are treated to a preview of the forthcoming single ‘Ragdoll’. The trailer sets the stage for Dora’s North American headline tour, ‘Behind The Curtain,’ which kicks off on September 22nd in Boston. Fans can snag tickets when they go on general sale on July 12th at 10 AM local time.

'No Way To Relax When You Are On Fire' promises a rich tapestry of sounds and styles, embodying Dora’s contrarian spirit. Her songs seamlessly transition from sweeping folk to rock, bright psychedelic pop, and tranquil lullabies, all woven together with her fable-like songwriting. Reflecting on the upcoming project, Dora shared;

“It might be the contrarian in me, in light of everyone identifying themselves and others, but I have a propensity to not stick with one thing.”

Recent singles such as ‘Timelapse’ and ‘She Loves Me’ offer a glimpse into Dora’s introspective world. ‘Timelapse’ is a cinematic ode to her time in New York City, while ‘She Loves Me’ delves into her internal dialogue, exploring the duality of her personality in social settings versus solitude. Earlier this year, Dora also showcased her versatility with the glam rock track ‘Puppet’ and a remix of Ashnikko’s single “You Make Me Sick!”.

Dora’s live performances have also been a testament to her growing popularity. She sold out her first North American headline tour in 2022 and joined Billie Eilish on the 'Happier Than Ever World Tour'. In 2023, she supported The 1975 on their national arena tour, playing iconic venues like TD Garden and Madison Square Garden.

As she gears up for an exciting next chapter with the release of 'No Way To Relax When You Are On Fire' and her upcoming tour, Dora Jar continues to defy expectations and captivate audiences with her innovative sound and compelling storytelling.
