RISING STAR DOWNTOWN KAYOTO RELEASES NOSTALGIC HIT-SINGLE, ‘CAME THRU’

DK
Originally from Hull, Downtown Kayoto has returned after a short hiatus to deliver the first single of an upcoming project.

A member of Oculate’s ‘Ones To Watch 2024’ list, DK has started the year off strong with this outstanding new track.

The 2000’s, Pharrell/Timbaland grooves on this one are immediately catchy. The smooth topline floating above the percussive bed continues to shape an alternative R&B sound DK is quickly becoming known for.

The music video is also well-worth taking in. Joe Howat directed, and there’s choreography courtesy of Shanise Liang that is highly impressive.

Across his socials in the build-up to this single, DK has documented his journey learning how to dance. The result is remarkable, particularly considering this was his first dance experience. The video succeeds in reminding viewers of the choreography of some of the best hit songs of the 2000’s.

Downtown Kayoto has received praise from a vast array of publications and it’s easy to see why. With the fantastic ‘Came Thru’, and the rumours of a project in the works, this year it looks as though he’ll be moving to the forefront of the UK music scene.
