South London's own Deema is back, and he's bringing some serious heat with his latest track "UK SYNTH," featuring fellow UK rap sensation Bawo.
Slated for release this August, Deema’s upcoming EP, "DOG WITH A £," promises to be a standout addition to his rapidly growing discography. This marks Deema's third release of the year, following the much-hyped singles "LILREDWHIP" and "BERRYGRAPE," which have left fans eagerly anticipating his next move.
Produced by Deema's longtime collaborator Dom Valentino - who's worked with big names like Unknown T, P-rallel, and Greentea Peng - "UK SYNTH" showcases a masterful blend of tight drum machine patterns and hard-hitting lyrics. The accompanying video, directed by Ed Peacock, perfectly captures the gritty essence of South London, using CCTV footage to follow Deema and Bawo through various cityscapes.
Deema’s journey into music started young, inspired by his dad’s eclectic iPod playlist featuring legends like Skepta, Arctic Monkeys, Dizzee Rascal, and Jamie T. His school years saw him behind the drums and forming a creative bond with producer Dom Valentino. Immersed in the grime scene, Deema's talents caught the eye of Blakie from Lewisham’s grime collective The Square, leading to a pivotal radio show performance that kickstarted his career. From sets on Rinse FM to sharing stages with BBK and performing at Wiley’s Eskimo Dance and Reading Festival, Deema’s star was on the rise.
As Deema continues to evolve into one of the UK rap scene’s most respected voices, he’s known for infusing his music with humour and swagger. As the anticipation for his forthcoming EP "DOG WITH A £" is at an all-time high, "UK SYNTH" is not just a track but a bold statement of Deema's artistic journey and his readiness to push boundaries in the music industry.
