COVENTRY-BORN SINGER-SONGWRITER DANNIELLA DEE RELEASES CAPTIVATING DEBUT EP 'REFLECTIONS'

Coventry-born singer-songwriter and producer, Danniella Dee, has unveiled her stunning debut EP, 'Reflections,' following electrifying performances at Radio 1's Big Weekend, The Big Feastival, and Godiva Festival.

Rooted in soul music, the EP seamlessly blends classic R&B, hip-hop, choral influences, and subtle hints of drum and bass. Each track on the project takes listeners on a sonic journey, defying expectations and effortlessly fusing traditional and modern sounds.

With diverse themes and musical styles, 'Reflections' captivates listeners from the infectious grooves of 'Stutter' to the smooth sophistication of 'Reflections' and the empowering celebration of femininity in 'Woman.' Danniella expresses her confidence in connecting with a wide range of people through her art, stating,

"I'm confident that there's something on this project for everyone to resonate with. It's important for me to be able to connect with as many people as possible through my art. The songs are diverse in style, but they all have something that connects them - an ethereal, dreamy quality."

Influenced by her hometown, which birthed the iconic 2-tone movement, Danniella embraces a genre-defying approach, aiming to create a notable new chapter in Coventry's musical history. Her upbringing, which included classical training in the Coventry Cathedral choir and working as a roadie for her reggae musician father, instilled in her a deep appreciation for both tradition and rebellion. These contrasting experiences came full circle when she had the opportunity to support The Specials in the same venue where she sang as a young chorister.

'Reflections' serves as a contemplative exploration of the people, places, and sounds that have shaped Danniella into the promising artist she is today. Drawing inspiration from music icons such as Marvin Gaye, The Internet, Miguel, Musiq Soulchild, and Erykah Badu, she weaves a tapestry of influences while carving her own unique path in the industry.
