COURTEENERS RETURN WITH DREAMY NEW SINGLE "PINK CACTUS CAFÉ" OFFERING AN ESCAPE JUST IN TIME FOR THE FINAL DAYS OF SUMMER

As summer fades, Courteeners have released "Pink Cactus Café," a melancholic yet beautiful track that arrives at just the right time to soundtrack the last days of sunshine.

This three-and-a-half-minute daydream is soaked in melody and evocative lyrics, inviting listeners to drift away into the blissful escapism that frontman Liam Fray describes as the pursuit of the perfect getaway. From Moroccan tea houses to Marseille’s beaches, Fray paints an irresistible picture of chasing that elusive utopia; a dream we all indulge in, even if it might never truly exist. Reflecting on the track, Fray explains,

“It’s about finding a bit of time for yourself, imagining that perfect place where everything’s better — be it on a beach, in a café, or at home with someone you love. It's about the idea that holidays or escapes are where true happiness lies. It’s a fantasy, really, but it doesn’t stop us from chasing it, does it?”

"Pink Cactus Café" is not only the title track from their upcoming seventh studio album, but a testament to Courteeners' ability to evolve while staying true to their core. The record promises to push their sound in new directions, thanks to Fray co-producing every track and collaborating with a host of friends like DMA’s, Brooke Combe, and Theo Hutchcraft (Hurts). The band retains their signature style of crafting timeless melodies and festival-ready choruses, but this time they’re venturing beyond their usual sound, exploring new textures and dynamics.

Coming off a summer packed with massive shows, including a 25,000-capacity headlining set at Lytham Festival and a high-profile appearance at TRNSMT in Glasgow, Courteeners are gearing up for a series of autumn headline arena dates across the UK. With some shows already sold out, including their Manchester and London dates, fans will want to grab the last remaining tickets quickly.

Courteeners continue to be one of the most cherished and celebrated bands in the UK. Their latest single and upcoming album are set to keep that legacy alive, offering new sounds while staying true to the heart of what makes Courteeners special.
