Charlotte Plank Kickstarts 2026 Keeping It Real On 'Crybby Blue'

Crybby Blue lands as Charlotte Plank’s first move of the year, and it’s all about feeling over flash. The single strips things back, leaning into nostalgia, softness and the kind of honesty that doesn’t need dressing up.

Co-written and co-produced with Kurisu, who also worked on her track “ellen”, Crybby Blue sounds like Charlotte trusting her instinct. The production stays light, letting the mood lead while the song takes its time to settle. It’s simple, but intentional, the kind of track that sticks because it doesn’t push too hard.

Lyrically, Crybby Blue circles a past relationship where lines blurred, and emotions got messy. Charlotte doesn’t spell everything out. She lets the space do the work, giving the track that hazy, reflective pull that feels familiar without being obvious.

The single also hints at what’s coming next. Charlotte has been working on a new project with New York-based producer Aire Atlantica, and Crybby Blue feels like a reset point, back to writing that feels true, without chasing what’s loud or current.

Following her ClubLiminal EP and a run of sold-out shows last year, Charlotte opens this chapter by going inward. Crybby Blue doesn’t try to make a statement. It just lets the feeling land, and that’s the point.
