BUSHROD DROPS EXPLOSIVE NEW TRACK "PAINFOREST"

BUSHROD
British rapper, BUSHROD’s explosive new track “Painforest” takes us on a metaphorical journey through his experiences with feeling lost and isolated, covering feelings of confusion, worry and anger whilst imaginatively weaving his stream of consciousness through the idea of being trapped in a rainforest.

Equipped with a DIY sensibility and technically deft, yet refreshingly relatable lyrics, the talented twenty-something self-directed an accompanying music video! Featuring his signature aesthetic, visualised through playful and pastel colour palettes. The idea of loneliness and isolation is cleverly depicted throughout the video, which sees BUSHROD in multiple remote and secluded locations.

Cultivating an unmistakable brand of infectious music, bridging the gap between alternative hip-hop and rap, London-based, BUSHROD had this to say;

‘’When I made this song, I felt lost and isolated. I wanted to take the idea of walking through a rainforest and use it to symbolise how I felt at the time. My emotions are quite complex and multi-faceted, and in many ways, it feels similar to how a rainforest has so many layers and so much depth to it. The idea of its unpredictable climate felt like the perfect way to mirror the unpredictable nature of those feelings’’.

With two UK headline tours under his belt, playlist support from Spotify’s New Music Friday and a wealth of new material en route which, listeners would be wise to get acquainted.
