FAST-RISING ESSEX PUNK BAND BILK HAVE UNLEASHED THEIR LATEST RELEASE "BE SOMEONE"

The fast-rising Essex punk band Bilk have unleashed their high-octane, rock-infused record ‘Be Someone’ via the rising Manchester-based record label Scruff Of The Neck.

There is no doubt about it, Bilk have gained the reputation of being one of the most exciting young acts of this next wave coming through into the mainstream. With stellar performances this summer at multiple festivals including the likes of Y Not and the iconic Reading and Leeds, this year has only seen them grow from strength to strength. Made up of the power trio, Sol Abraham, Luke Hare, and Harry Gray, this collective’s electric chemistry can be heard throughout this latest offering ‘Be Someone’.

Built up by Anthemic guitar chords and power-charging drums, Sol’s charming yet witty lyrics are at the forefront of the track. With his fiery tones and tongue-in-cheek charm leading the way, they keep alive the traditional authentic gritty sounds of punk alive just with an added taste of modern punk throughout.

With their self-titled debut album due to release February 10th, this is sure to take these from “Underground” to the mainstream. With support from the likes of Dork, Fred Perry, BBC R1, and BBC R6 to name a few, they’re already carving out their own impressive lane ready to change the landscape of the UK music scene.
