BexBlu and Paul Stephan Keep Building on ‘Never Relax’
Updated: Sep 18
After two years of collaborative records and a sold-out London headline show, ‘Never Relax’ lands as another marker in a partnership that already has its own history.

BexBlu and Paul Stephan have linked again. At this point, that is almost the wrong headline. What matters is how normal that sentence now feels.
Their latest single, ‘Never Relax’, arrived on 11 September through ALWAYS MOVING / EMPIRE. It runs for just 2 minutes 35 seconds and comes alongside an official video directed by Akira-Kai Kitazono. Another release together, but hardly the start of the story.
The pair already had history by the time TWO THOUSAND AND NEVER arrived in November 2024. The seven-track project, made alongside producer t.o, gave BexBlu and Stephan a full release to work across rather than another isolated single.
They kept going in 2025. Alongside Awaiting Kvng, BexBlu and Stephan released the seven-track STILL REMINISCING in May before returning with Protect The Silence later that year. What could have remained a handful of loose collaborations was steadily becoming a body of work.
By December, BexBlu was speaking openly about plans to release an album with Stephan in 2026 and take their music on tour together. The live side arrived first.
Their March run included a sold-out date at Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds before they reached London on 7 March, where Village Underground was sold out too. At that point, the partnership had moved past streaming links and collaborative credits. People were buying tickets to see the two of them together.
That gives ‘Never Relax’ a different job. It does not need to introduce BexBlu and Paul Stephan or convince anyone that the pairing exists. The records, projects and shows have already done that work. This is another addition to something they have been building for more than two years.
There is something refreshing about that continuity. UK rap collaborations can often arrive as one-offs, disappear, then resurface whenever another single needs a feature. BexBlu and Stephan have taken the opposite route: keep working, keep adding to the catalogue and let the relationship become part of the music itself.
If the album BexBlu spoke about still follows, ‘Never Relax’ may eventually feel less like another standalone single and more like one of the points where this partnership stopped needing an introduction.
